Announcements

  • 1/14/2022 To The Parents & Students of Walnut Bend ISD, Due to the still increasing number of active COVID-19 cases affecting our staff and students and, in an effort to reduce the potential for significant spread among our Pirate community, we will be canceling school for Monday January 17th and Tuesday January 18th of next week. It is our hope that this break will allow students and families to heal and recuperate. School will reopen on Wednesday January 19th. This is not a decision that I have taken lightly, and I have arrived at it only after careful consideration with team members. The WBISD regularly scheduled school board meeting has likewise been rescheduled from January 18th to January 25th. Please continue to take care of one another and thank you for entrusting Walnut Bend with the safety and education of your children. Cordially, Ken Kemp Superintendent

  • Due to COVID-19 related absences at our hosting school tonight (TCS), both basketball games are cancelled. We apologize for the late notice, but this is an evolving situation. We had enough players to compete tonight, but the opposing team did not. We would like to ask that you keep all of those impacted by the current COVID wave in your thoughts. We will all get through this together.
