A number of years ago Walnut Bend ISD joined with Tioga Sivells Bend, and St. Mary’s of Gainesville and several other schools to organize the North Texas Interscholastic League (NTIL). The League was formed in order for students in smaller schools - without high schools - to have the opportunity of participating in the State of Texas organized University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions.
Immaculate Conception of Denton, Sacred Heart of Munster, Texoma Christian of Sherman, St. Martin's of Prosper and Red River Home School Association are also members of our league.
Our students participate in athletics, such as basketball, volleyball and track and in academic competitions.
In addition, Middle School students now have the opportunity to participate in Robotics, Theater Arts, Art, and/or Journalism. Grades PK-4 participate in choir.
