How long have I been a teacher?
This will be my fourth year as a teacher and my fourth year at Walnut Bend ISD. I love teaching children to read. My newest goal is to return to school and earn my masters degree as a Master Reading Teacher and as a Reading Specialist.
Where did you go to college?
I attended Grayson County College, Southeastern Oklahoma State University and University of North Texas. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern.
Do you have any children?
My husband and I have four children. Maranda and Darrion are twins and will be entering the sixth grade at Allen ISD. Kaitlin is eight and will be in Mrs. Martin’s third grade class. Miss Savanna is three and looking forward to coming to Pre-K next year.
Where did you grow up?
When I was growing up with my family…my mom, dad, brother and twin sisters, we lived in Gordonville. I went to school at Whitesboro from Kindergarten through 12th grade. During high school I was active in band and FFA.
What do you like to do for fun?
When I have free time I enjoy shopping, reading and spending time with my friends and family.
